TCS Ninja Interview Experience September 2018
TCS Ninja came to our campus for placements. Eligibility was open for everyone from B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech. I had prepared for this company through TCS Ninja Marathon. This course was really helpful not only for TCS Ninja but for an overall aptitude practice. I gained a lot of confidence by taking this course.
Round 1: Round 1 was an aptitude test- English, Quants, and Programming Proficiency. You can check the detailed syllabus online or at https://www.faceprep.in/tcs-ninja-exam-pattern-and-syllabus/. For programming questions, I used this video by Conduira – How to solve Advanced coding questions. After all this preparation I was confident enough to clear the round which I luckily did. Next, the shortlisted candidates were called for the Interview rounds
Round 2: In the Technical Interview round the questions were mostly based on our subject. Since I am an ECE student, the panel asked me about my favorite subject and some questions from those. We ended up having a discussion on the topic of electronic devices(my favourite). The panel didn’t ask any question from IT except an easy code – Check whether a number is a palindrome or not. Easy to write, what a relief!
Round 3: Next I was sent for HR Round. One tip I can give for this round is to try to develop an answer for each of the common HR questions. Do not by heart it but rather list down all the points for each question. This helps in reducing the pressure during the interview. The HR asked me certain questions, some of them were:
- Tell me about yourself
- What do you know about TCS?
- What are your areas of interest?
- Are you willing to work in different shifts?
- Why TCS?
I would conclude that had I not prepared for the aptitude test from the placement course online, I wouldn’t have been able to clear the test. It takes a little bit of sincerity and practice and the rest all will go well. For me, things did go well because I got the results within a week with a congratulations mail!
