The min() method is utilized to find the smallest element of the map.

Method Definition: def min: (A, B)

Return Type: It returns the smallest element of the map.

Example #1:




// Scala program of min()
// method
  
// Creating object
object GfG
  
    // Main method
    def main(args:Array[String])
    {
      
        // Creating map
        val m1 = Map("geeks" -> 5, "for" -> 3, "cs" -> 2)
          
        // Applying min method 
        val result = m1.min
          
        // Displays output
        println(result)
    }
}


Output:

(cs, 2)

As we can see in above example cs is the smallest element in the map.
