jQuery UI consists of GUI widgets, visual effects, and themes implemented using jQuery, CSS, and HTML. jQuery UI is great for building UI interfaces for the webpages. The jQuery UI Resizable aspectRatio option is used to set whether the element should be constrained to a specific aspect ratio or not. It holds Boolean or number type value and its default value is false.

Supported Value:

  • Boolean: It holds the boolean value i.e. either true or false. If it set to true, the element will maintain its original aspect ratio.
  • Number: It sets the element to maintain a specific aspect ratio during resizing.

Syntax:

$(".selector").resizable({
    aspectRatio: true
});
