Infosys Interview Experience for Java Backend Developer (3-5 Years Experienced)
There will be 2 technical rounds and an HR Round.
Round 1: The first technical round is to test your base knowledge. Let me walk you through the First round of experience, As a java Developer, these days it is mandatory-you should have working knowledge on java version 1.8 where most of the questions are covered around the 1.8 release as in this release java was taken to another level in the programming world where Functional Style of programming was introduced and the Date API refurnished. You must be familiar with Streams, method References, Functional Interfaces, Lambda Expression, and Optional. Secondly, you must have working knowledge on Data Structures like Hash Map, Hash Set along with their internal working implementation.
Once your basic knowledge has been tested with java, then comes the framework part in my case it was Spring Boot. Lots of people get confused with Spring MVC and Spring Boot, Even though Spring Boot is sitting on top of Spring MVC a clear understanding between these two would make you a better one as the questions lie in the difference between these two their advantages, and disadvantages. Be familiar with annotations used most commonly in Spring Boot like @springbootApplication, @Autowired @RestController — @Path Variable and @RequestParam,@Service, @Repository, etc. If you Mention you know any ORM Frameworks like Hibernate then Relationship-based Questions may come in your way.
Round 2: If you can Clear the first round of Technical, then the second technical round is just a Manager person who might come and ask about your project Experience, your way of thinking, and approaching the problem. Here your analysis and approach skill is tested.
HR Round: Finally, the HR Round is just a CTC discussion based on your skillset and Experience ideally in Infosys they are following experience level-based package discussion even though there is a rise or dip in the skill set which you possess.
Hope this experience would be useful for attending interviews.
All the best!!
