There are many stereotypes in society, including the misconception that girls and women can’t handle challenges. Because of these misconceptions, many women do not receive the same help that men do. Stereotypes regarding what women do have an impact on women’s right to equality by dictating to society what roles women should play and preventing them from playing alternative positions. Because the woman’s decision is not taken into account and she is not allowed to behave as she pleases, this constitutes unequal treatment. This limits chances for women in society and creates strict expectations for them, which inhibits creativity. There will be fewer women scientists, which would result in a lack of creativity, for instance, if women are not permitted to hold technical positions owing to the assumption that women cannot manage technical stuff.

When asked to imagine a nurse, a scientist, and a teacher, most people see a female nurse, a male scientist, and a female teacher. This is the case since it’s what we typically observe. Additionally, every position has certain personality requirements. We always assume a nurse to be a woman since nurses are expected to be very kind and patient. Sometimes they are just the effect of our own friends giggling inappropriately. Boys are urged to think about pursuing a job that pays well. Guys are so taunted and made fun of if they act in any way differently from other boys.

Daughters were not permitted to learn to read the alphabet in societies where sons were taught to read and write. Even in homes where skills were taught, daughters’ and women’s contributions were simply viewed as supporting.
