Project management, as name suggest, is simply management that focuses on setting goals, making plans to achieve them at specified time.

2. Transport Management :
Transport management, as name suggests, is simply management that focuses on business plan, execution and optimize physical movement of products or goods or raw materials.

Difference between Project Management and Transport Management :

Project Management	Transport Management
It mainly focuses on management of various activities of project.	It mainly focuses on management of transport operations.
It is a temporary management process.	It is a permanent management process i.e. an ongoing activity.
Project manager have more responsibilities than transport manager.	Transport manager have less responsibilities than project manager.
Factors affecting project management includes structural complexity, communication and commitment, social and cultural factors, goals and objective, etc.	Factors affecting transport management transmit time, distribution pattern, prime movers, nature of product, terminal facilities, etc.
Process of this management includes planning, organizing, supervising, and conducting quality control of project.	Process of this management includes assess transportation, identify target state of transportation, estimate price, determine correct moving parts to move to target state, determine correct solution deployment strategy to move to target state.
Its benefits include improve team collaboration, solve problems, pipeline forecasting, effortless project planning, etc.	Its benefits include increased profitability, track and trace orders, increase customer service, increase supply chain efficiency, etc.
Its main objective is to optimize allocation of essential inputs and implement them to achieve pre-defined objective.	Its main objectives is to improve overall performance of transportation network.
