1. Project Management :
Project management, as name suggest, is simply management that focuses on leading work towards team to achieve goals by successfully completing project on specified time.

2. Distribution Management :
Distribution management, as name suggests, is simply management that focuses on entire process of moving product or goods to either storage or directly to customer or point of sale.



Difference between Project Management and Distribution Management :

Project Management Distribution Management
It mainly focuses on management of individual project until its termination. It mainly focuses on management and outbound flow of products or goods.
It is a temporary management process. It is a permanent management process i.e. an ongoing process.
Project manager have more responsibilities than distribution manager. Distribution manager have less responsibilities than project manager.
Factors affecting project management project culture, management culture, project manager, issues in risk management, etc. Factors affecting distribution management includes customer perspective, communication, distributor perspective, training and commitment, etc.
Process of this management includes project starting, project planning, project implementation, observing and controlling project, finally project termination. Process of this management includes set objective, develop sales strategy, develop tactics.
Its benefits include improve team collaboration, improve communication, better employee relationship, increase team effectiveness, etc. Its benefits include increased profitability, more convenient, accuracy, increase efficiency, increased organization, reduce expenses, etc.
Its main objective is to organize and control project activities till it gets completed successfully and achieve desired goal. Its main objectives is to deliver raw materials and products on time as well as in good condition.
Type of project management includes agile project management, scrum project management, PRINCE2 project management, etc. Types of Distribution management includes wholesaler, indirect distribution management, direct distribution management, intensive distribution management, exclusive distribution management, etc.
Project management is more difficult than distribution management. Distribution management is less difficult than project management.
